The most heavy-duty of all our carrier cycles, the Loadstar is a reliable and durable machine fit for all manner of commercial and industrial uses. A firm customer favourite for over thirty years, it has been used everywhere from the busy streets of urban India to oil rigs in the North Sea.

Its flat rear platform is capable of carrying loads up to 200 kilos, all thanks to the classic three-wheeled design. This frame, hand-built by our team of skilled craftsmen, is robust enough to cope with all the rigours of modern business and is stable enough to keep your personnel safe even when fully loaded. The Loadstar comes equipped to build on this safety, with a triple braking system as standard: the powerful front hub brake combines with twin rear calliper brakes to ensure rapid stopping in all conditions.

Like all our carrier cycles, the Loadstar can be customised to meet you and your business’ needs: along with customer colour options, the rear platform can be augmented by a wire mesh cage for the bulkiest loads and a 3 speed internal gear system can be fitted, allowing it to tackle hillier terrain even when loaded. It is therefore a versatile, unique alternative to motorised transport that is robust enough to handle every demand of modern commercial and industrial use.

1. 1. Step-over frame with upright riding position: easy to mount/dismount frame with comfortable and stable upright riding position that allows you a good view of your surroundings and other road users.
2. 2. Highly-durable paint finish: Durable powder-coat finish with corrosion resistant hi-zinc base coat. All of Pashley’s cycles are painted by hand using an oven-baked powder-coat to give a durable and vibrant finish.
3. 3. Hand-built industrial spec frame: Durable welded steel frame designed specifically for industrial use. Built using steel tubes in heavy-duty tube sections that retain ultimate strength (due to the intrinsically high tensile strength of steel) whilst giving more ride comfort and ‘feel’ than aluminium or carbon fibre. Steel is also inherently more durable (due to increased fatigue life) than aluminium.

Low maintenance single speed or 3 speed hub gears options: The single speed option is ideal for simplicity of use and travelling over shorter distances on flat terrain (e.g. within warehouses).  The 3 speed option, with easy-shift thumb lever, allows you to cover greater distances, gliding along on flatter terrain, as well as tackling inclines at a gentle pace.
5. 5. Heavy-duty painted steel mudguards: withstanding the rough and bumps of everyday use, they protect you and your load from mud and water splashes, providing all-weather practicality.

Powerful, fully-enclosed front hub brake with parking brake and twin dual-pivot rear caliper brakes: this system uses easily adjustable side-pull caliper rear brakes and a fully enclosed front hub brake, which act together to give the all-weather stopping power and security that a tricycle needs. The parking brake can be activated using an easily accessible button on the brake lever, keeping the tricycle stationary when parked so you don't need to worry about it rolling away.
7. 7. Convenient frame-fitted pump: with its sleek design, it fits securely to the cycle frame via integrated pump-pegs; easily at-hand when your tyres need an extra top-up of air.
8. 8. Protective steel chainguard: Helps reduce wear and tear on the chain by reducing its exposure to grit and water, thus decreasing the amount of maintenance required. Also protects the ride from catching the chain and grease marks.
9. 9. Large rear load carrying platform: versatile platform that can support a wide variety of boxes, baskets and fridges (please note: the wire mesh insert shown is an optional extra). Measures W=680mm x L=720mm. Capable of supporting up to 200kg of load.
